...a word about the music David Carr, Jr. can create a very smooth tone on the Saxophone (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone), and while his compositions are deeply rooted in Jazz, the specific elements and style of any one song may draw from Funk, Rhythm & Blues, a bit of Hip Hop, and even Industrial influences. It's all about the music. The craft is essential, but the notes themselves must come freely from the heart and soul of the artist. It doesn't matter whether it's a ballad or hard smashing sinister bass driven solid funk tune, the final production must be sincere. The end result cannot be contrived or formulaic. IT MUST BE REAL! Sounds of Innosense was David's first full length release in 1995. It is now remastered and available on vinyl for the first time with the release of the 2025 30th Anniversary Signature Edition. The original songs are available on two LPs exclusively from Elastic Stage. LP Two includes the previously unavailable Double-Live performance, When She Dances/Feed Up, recorded during David's 2005 Birthday Bash at Nana's, high atop the Anatole hotel in Dallas.
